A CRAPPY JOB
AND AN INSTAGRAM POST
That's how I found my purpose.
I’m Lacey, a branding strategist with a passion for helping makers and small businesses stand out. But let’s be real—branding wasn’t always my calling.

At 19, I joined the Army to escape the small-town life that felt too close-minded for me. I didn’t know it at the time, but those years in uniform taught me two things I’d carry forever: how to thrive under pressure and how to bring structure to chaos.
After the Army, life threw me into another challenge—corporate life. I wanted stability for my family, so I landed a job as a bill collector.
It paid the bills, but it drained my soul.

I knew I needed something creative, something I could pour myself into. That’s when I rediscovered my passion for graphic design.
Late nights turned into passionate projects, and soon I was dreaming of a life where I could make a real impact.

And then came the Instagram post.
Megan, my old Army 'battle buddy', posted about a granola business she was starting. On a whim, I commented, “Need help with labels?”
That one comment turned into a full-blown partnership.

Together, we built Elevated Oats—a brand that stood out with bold colors, vibrant packaging, and a story that connected with people.
Everyone called it a success, but we were learning as we went.
It was through this messy, beautiful process that I really realized the magic of branding: it shapes how people see you before they ever meet you.
Even after we closed its doors, people still talk about Elevated Oats. Through all that, I learned—branding isn’t just about looking good; it’s about creating something people can’t forget.
Now, I use that lesson to help makers and businesses like you. Whether it’s clarifying your message, designing packaging that pops, or figuring out who your audience really is (hint: it’s not everyone), I’m here to make your brand something people remember.
Because you deserve a brand that reflects the passion you put into your work—and I can’t wait to help you build it.
